The Associate Grant Writing Program is simple and logical.  The associate program keeps you focused, mentors you and assists you in building your business at your pace.  You can start out working evenings and weekends and work up to a full time home based business.

As a Junior Associate grant writer you are added to our database of individuals looking to make grant writing a career.  We categorize your interests and skill levels.  When a client calls looking for specific skills we pair you with a senior associate that will take the lead on the project and mentor you through the grant writing process.

The program is designed to give junior associates seeking grant writing as a career practical hands on experiences, concepts, strategies and practices essential for career development.  In the program you will improve your grant writing skills and become proficient.

As a Senior Associate you have demonstrated and mastered the skills of grant writing and managing a grant application from start to finish.  Once you have advanced to senior associate grant writer you take the lead managing larger grant applications and larger clients.  At this level you will be given clients and contracts and ask to mentor a junior associate.

The senior associate will master a variety of skills associated with managing large grant applications.  The senior associate will do prospect research author grant proposals by compiling data, editing and monitoring the grant deadline.  Here the senior associate gets the experience that will allow them to make sound future career decisions. 

Senior associates are encourage to continue their education and build their businesses.  In the Grant Writing as a Career Video we will show you how to build and manage a successful grant writing business.

The Beauty of Grant Writing as a Career - With over 70,000 foundations in the USA giving away money, and with the federal government appropriating over $436 billion dollars and over 1 million non profits competing for that money, not to mention down sizing everywhere and the rising cost of gas, grant writing as a career just makes good sense.  Nowhere else can you find such a gratifying and rewarding career.  You set the schedule, you work where and when and for whomever you wish.   

With an investment in a computer and some formal training you can be self employed in no time.  Grant writers charge anywhere from $25.00 to $175.00 per hour depending on the scope of work and the complexity of the grant application.  Often you will hear to get started, volunteer for a while and get your experience.  We don't agree.  Once you have completed the self paced DVD or 2 day workshop you are billable.  Volunteering takes you out of being a professional where you run the risk of organizations, agencies and individuals not respecting your time.  Charge for the knowledge you have gained!
