What is an employee matching fund?
An
employee matching fund is a pool of money that over 2,000 corporations in the
US have that they give to organizations where their employees, ex-employees
or retirees are giving either time or money.
Why is a employee matching fund important?
The fund is important in two ways. One, it helps your organization
financially by potentially doubling what volunteers or donors are already
contributed. Sometimes employees don’t even know this program is in
place. Secondly, some grants require matching funds. These are funds you
will have to come up with. Now that you are aware these funds exist you can
collect them and use them as your matching money.
