The Grantsmanship Institute offers a range of workshops, instructions, kits and consulting for establishing a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation .  Directly after the first day of the grant writing workshop a second workshop in conducted for those wanting to incorporate as a non-profit 501(c) 3.  The cost of the workshop is $100.00.  The Non-Profit Start-Up Kit that workshop participants receive is also available by mail or e-mail for $100.00 plus $25.00 per hour consultation.

Non-Profit Organizational Start-Up Workshop and Start-Up Kit

Once registered for the 501(c)3 Workshop you will receive a comprehensive instructional book which has been developed in response to many requests from individuals starting new organizations. The need for nonprofit classification and the lack of funds to hire a professional to complete the forms places many new corporations at a roadblock. It is our belief that the funds that might be used to hire a professional should be kept in the new organization for program support that will benefit the community. We also believe that by completing this process yourself, you will have a greater understanding of the nonprofit world. If, however you feel uncomfortable preparing the documents yourself, we provide low cost consulting services to help you and your young organization.

The Grantsmanship Institute's workshop and booklet will provide the assistance your organization needs and allows you and your volunteers to provide greater service to the community. While the IRS provides great instructions for completing all forms, sometimes their wording can be confusing.  In addition, most sample documents from the IRS are in PDF format, requiring you to retype the documents.  This booklet contains a sample set of by-laws, sample conflict of interest policy, and sample attachment requirements in Word documents so that you can copy, paste and revise as necessary to your needs.
